About the Event
The theme POP-sical combines the words “Pop” and “Musical”, reflecting the transformation of popular songs into orchestral wind band arrangements.
Featuring a vibrant programme of popular songs from yesteryears, including English, Malay, and Chinese repertoire, this concert will bring together almost 100 non-professional musicians from Ipoh and Penang, representing diverse backgrounds and professions, united by a shared passion for music-making. Through this collaboration, the project aims to promote cultural exchange, community engagement, and the growth of the wind orchestra scene in Perak, while providing accessible and meaningful musical experiences to the public.
